Following the jaw-dropping success of his remix with BadBoy Timz, The ‘Claro’ Hit singer Tobi Adu, drops his debut two-pack EP taking us on a musical wonderland, as he explores with his sensational vocals, the deliriously unique taste of Afrobeats music. The singer features two distinct songs with such unique thematic expressions called ‘Delilah’ and 'MY EX’. The track ’Delilah’ speaks on being totally enraptured by a person while ‘My Ex’ speaks on refusing a love that simply does not serve you.
DELILAH:
Enigmatic artiste Tobi Adu leads us through a musical voyage and takes his listeners on a hypnotic journey through cityscapes of sound and ephemeral vocals. On this track, he sings in utter wonderment of a woman who has managed to capture him in a haze. Confused as to how she manages to continually leave him so hooked, he likens her to the Biblical Delilah, an irresistible, powerful and seductive woman. With his transient vocals the artiste brings to life the feeling of this haze, desperate to the whims of someone who has a way of taking over you completely. When he leads, accompanied with the eclectic backing vocals, it feels directly like that feeling of being enraptured by someone and wondering how they have that effect on you.

‘My Ex’ comes in at a much slower pace, a heartbreak groove, turning pain into strength. As a contrast to Delilah, the artiste sings, with a kind of raw vulnerability, of moving on from where his affections are not appreciated.
He expresses how he can never be put down by what he’s shown and instead of choosing a previous lover, he has been hurt and broken down by, he chooses to be an ‘Omo Ope’ and enjoy life to the fullest. This song is about flexing in the face of hurt. Choosing to be strong and enjoy life instead. The artiste teaches us not to hold on to the pains, nor the past, filled with people that are unworthy of the love that we provide them.
