In the new and improved EP, Up to no good, the artiste makes his intentions clear, showing us that he is Up and ready to set the music industry ablaze.

In this project, he offers his listeners music of self exploration, hardships and growth. More than an EP, it is rightfully an experience, a vibrant and versatile mosaic of sound that compels you to crave for more, track after track, never really knowing what next the genre style fusee will bring.

The EP is packed with an intense variety of thematic expressions, from love to faith, confidence and strength. In a sense of beautiful harmony, it all makes musical experience a relatable as he fuses the rhythmic sounds of Afrobeats with other diverse musical elements from genres like Hiphop and even as far as EDM.

OG MAGE's most inspiring attribute is his confidence in who he is and the surety of knowledge of himself as an artiste, this strong side of  the artiste bleeds into his music, especially in track two. In a musical landscape, filled with artistes who are here today and gone tomorrow, he makes his mark, standing out as a true artiste committed to pushing the envelope and making his music long-lasting. His dedication to crafting authentic and emotionally resonant music shines through every sound and lyric. With Up To No Good, he welcomes his fans and newcomers alike, to join him on a captivating voyage of soulful Afro fusion.

The track two song “Like An OG” is nothing short of Energy and confidence. Featuring Illbliss, the Enugu born and bred trail-blazing rapper, who takes on the first verse of the track. In “Like an OG” OG MAGE makes an allusion to his name making known again exactly what it is to be An OG; A boss, A gee or in other words The IT man. But the artiste doesn’t stop there, rather he continues to also give a shout-out to the people; other “OGs” who have been of great support to him and his career. It is a feel-good song, which speaks of enjoying life surrounded by people who are visionaries and believe in the dream just as much. The real ones who stick through and through with you on your journey. It is a self-appraisal track and a humble appraisal of other OG’s just like him. The 90s hip-hop/rap feel of the song helps to envelope its listeners in the assurance the artiste speaks of.

On the fourth track, Beggin’ where he features the wonderful artiste Mannie tseayo, his lyrical prowess comes into a perfect blend with the enchanting voice of Mannie.

With ‘Baby’, The afro music samurai proves that he’s more than just a rapper and that he has the vocals locked in. The heart-warming, love song gives a kind of call and response, love confession/expression from both the feminine side (with the help of the artiste Jumiee) and masculine angle (OG mage), maintaining its rhythmic and sweet flowing tempo beginning to end.

Already gaining critical acclaim from industry insiders, Up To No Good is poised to become a cultural touchstone, transcending borders and connecting people from all walks of life.
