Another…Another…Another Banger!

Helllooooo beautiful listeners of beautiful music. How have you been since our last correspondence? Have you grown since we last met? Has your music taste been constantly elite, diverse and mysterious like you?

Well we hope your beds and pillows have been warm and cushiony in this chilly weather, we hope your meals have been fulfilling and Finally we welcome you back to our second edition of  Monthly music playlists!!!

What is this anyway? And why am I so excited. Okay, since you asked so nicely, I’ll do a recap. Monthly music playlists, is our article column where we give each month a theme and recommend the best songs off of that theme to get through the month. It’s our recommendation starter pack to a great month, where we help you choose new music or take you back to songs you love, but ON THEME! Awesome? Yeah I figured.

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF JULY. We may be right in the middle of it but it’s never too late to say hello. Before we go further, I have a question, do you see month in colors sometimes ? because I do. I think October will make a great Orange, May would make a nice fuschia pink, February gives off Dark blue vibes, June a baby blue color and July the colour of the skies.

Oh July, July, July There’s something rather precious and I can’t put my finger on it. Is it the weather? Or the simple fact that it really signifies full fledged summer. Either ways, I sure as hell fancy me some July.

Okay okay I bet you’re already looking at me like;

Well Since we’re right in the thick of July, we thought of making something to  commemorate the beauty of July and so to make it special and tricky, we came up with an unconventional theme this month.

The number 7!!!

Since it is no surprise the number 7 is purrfection, Here’s 7 song recs to get you through July:

7pm by Lilacs and Lizzy McAlpine:

We’re kicking off today with some great evening music vibes from Lilacs and Lizzy Mcalpine on their song, 7pm. Lizzy puts us right in the thick of her mind and in her world from the first verse. The ‘Ceilings’ star, takes us back to the era of our dear diary phase, as the lyrics feature a cute storytelling of thoughts. Imagine it, it’s 7pm, you’re chilling and surviving through the day, you’re a little bored, Like Lizzy and waltzing around your house scrolling through your phone and wondering what to eat. Then you stumble upon something nice, 7pm is that feeling of something nice

7 Days Ayo Maff ft Tarm

If you loved 7 Days, you bet you’ll love the Uk remix ft Tarm. That sweet Afro drill goodness, touches board with proper British culture and drill music. So there's a mix of the Nigerian soulful vocals of Ayomaff and that hot UK energy in tow. Don't know about you but we'll jamming this track for 7 days.

Big 7: Burna Boy

Big bad boy on the block energy! That’s exactly what ‘Big 7’ brings t``o the table.  This song is an acclamation of being that guy and burna boy comes in heavy loaded with a type of confident steeze you just can’t find anywhere else. An ask about me, I’m in a league of my own kind of feel. It is perfect  for the guys who know their class, their level and hold that enigmatic aura. With it’s ‘summer kickback at the loft with the homies’ sound, ‘Big 7’ is our Big 7 of the week, representing that true july culture we live for!

7 Days by Craig Davids `

We’re taking it back in time with this one, an old school trip down memory lane. If you grew up in the early 200s you know you heard this song and Craig Davids, everywhereee. On your radio, in your barber’s shop, that house of big uncles down the street, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and so In the spirit of 7s we celebrate the 90s/00s British Lover boy, Craig Davids and hope you find your person to meet on a Monday!

7 in the Morning: Laime ft Lojay

We’ve had our share of 7pm vibes and now it’s time for that 7 in the morning feeling. Laime and Lojay make a perfect and seamless combo on this track While Laime sings to you like he’s staring in your eyes and your so important to him, Lojay’s sweet and sonorous voice creeps up on you all lover boy esque, singing to you about a sweet morning love, waking up and having them on your mind straightaway.  Laime and Lojay remind us of the sweetness of falling in love with this track of early mornings with ease and softness, wanting no one but them, dying to see them from the moment you wake up. This is the kind of sweet music you want to wake up and stretch to, have breakfast in bed to 7 in the morning.

7 rings: Ariana Grande

7s without 7 rings? Absolutely Not! I don’t know about you but every time I hear this song, I instantly connect with my rich Princess and boss girl side So I hope this song motivates you to buy yourself all of your favorite things, trust me no one deserves it more than you. If not you then who? Don’t quote me oh! But if you perish you perish. If they say which one, tell them “Nah I want all of ‘em” Fully endorsed!

July by Noah Cyrus ft Leon Bridges

To end this episode and crown the day we’re going back to where it all began. Our final playlist recommendation is the song, July by Noah Cyrus on a remix featuring Leon Bridges. I guess we could say July for Noah, is about heartaches. She shares with her listeners the heartbreak of sitting in a love one does not deserve. There’s unrequited love and there’s loving someone who never reciprocates those feelings half as much. In ‘July’, Noah explores the woes of being in a toxic situation where you are underappreciated and you stay for comfort. Begging them to finally give you that push to leave, knowing that no matter how bad it gets, you end up staying. Noah Cyrus features Leon Bridges on this beautiful Indie pop song. Angling the story from different perspectives Cyrus shows the part of staying with someone who makes you feel like you’re not enough, the held back tears, the harsh words. Leon Bridges carries the male side, more like a response, of being frustrated and angry at a relationship that no longer s, but come back to the central point; staying out of comfort.

Somehow it’s a beautiful reminder to pick ourselves up and brush ourselves away from the love we don’t deserve
