Lil Shappi releases his debut EP; ‘Trials and Triumphs’

New Afrobeats artiste Lil Shappi, is up, ready, and charged to discuss the common issue and denominator of life; ups and downs. His new Ep ‘Trials and Triumphs’ is a conversation about the tests of faith and times of grace. The first track, ‘Timing’ is all about how that thing can be the spark you’ve always needed, how one thing or scenario can be responsible for changing your life and giving you the break you need. ‘Reminisce’ is a song about reminiscence, a remembrance of where he comes from and a ploy to wait on God, as he continues the hustle to move forward, highlighting the struggle of taking care of one’s family and trusting God in the midst of it all. There is more than enough to unpack in the artistes’ inspirationally creative work.

Lil Shappi, is a talented Nigerian artiste making waves in the music industry with his unique sound and super inspiring lyrics. Born in Abuja and currently based in Lagos Nigeria, the artiste’s passion for music started from an early age, heavily influenced and inspired by his surroundings and personal experiences. His experiences growing up  in Abuja exposed him to a variety of music, from Afrobeats to Hip-hop. Later on, he began writing his own lyrics and rhymes, honing his craft and developing his own music skill. He finally decided to pursue the music  full time, determined to share his music and connect with a wider audience.

 The ‘Trials and Triumphs’ according to him, is a reflection of his journey, navigating through life’s challenges and celebrating victories. According to the artiste, “Growing up, I faced various obstacles, from self-doubt to external pressures, but I learned to channel those struggles into creative expressions”. This EP is a testament to resilience, hope and the power of music as a cathartic outlet.
