‘Citizen’ also known as Olusegun Yomi Adekitan, is a young singer and rapper born on the 20th of June. Hailing from the heart of Oyo, State, Nigeria, Citizen is also referred to as ‘Omo Ilu’. His major music style is the Nigerian Afro-Hip-hop style.

He started rapping on the streets of the popular Mushin suburbs of Lagos State, and from there he gained massive traction and mainstream attention, catching fans with his dope lyrics and street-style slang. His music serves as an expression of that street lifestyle and his incredible blend of  Fuji to his modern sounds, makes him different yet relatable to many. As an artist, he strives to make music that creates an awareness of what goes on in his environment. Being the mouthpiece of the street and the originator of some street slangs, he is often hailed as ‘Ilu nkun’.

On his new track ‘Necessary’ he pulls in Bad Boy Timz for the journey. The two artistes form a killer combo of a track, with their synergistic understanding of each other’s sounds and appeal.
