Nhavie: Resilience/Wickedest Waist
Emerging in hot with a striking confidence and an undeniable aura, Nhavie shows that he is born ready for the music industry and undoubtedly here to stay with his newest 2 pack release; ‘Resilience/Wickedest Waist’. On ‘Resilience’, Nhavie proves his buoyancy as a person and an artiste, reinstating a manifestation in Yoruba language; ‘Mi o le jabo’ which translates in English ‘I cannot fall off’, this strong belief in self and confident assertion shows just how much the title of the track is its central message. Not only does he shower the music with an uplifting message of confidence, the lyrics are also followed by a powerful Afro-beats dance rhythm. ‘Wickedest Waist’ is a slower track, a sweet fusion of Afro-beats and R&B. Here, he expresses two feelings in a perfectly simultaneous manner; an awestruck emotion of adoration alongside a sultry emotion of attraction, all the while maintaining that slow soft rhythm and no-stress vibe. Bayanni ft Ruger : Goddess
The sweetest thing to start your day with is the steaming hot coffee of Bayanni and Ruger’s ‘Goddess’. Dare we say, it’s international kind of national collab. Bayanni (birth name Oladokun Ambimbola Elijah), is Mavins newest signee. He first stunned the music crowd with his sweet type R&B vocals and his tingling style of Afro-beats. He quickly gained popularity with his hit single ‘Ta Ta Ta’, which caused him to get a remix of the song with American artiste, Jason Derulo. Now he is set to distinctively place his footprints in the sands of time, as an artiste who has lent his voice in the call for change, with a mission of spreading afrobeats to the ends of the earth. Ruger; Africa’s pace setter was introduced to the world in January 202, with his song ‘ONE SHIRT’, the song that brought his signature style to the world. After his first EP; ‘PANDEMIC’, which went platinum in Sub-Saharan Africa, he has gone on to release several sensational global hits.
Packing that dance-hall, reggae-ton sound with the chocolaty goodness of Afro-beats, the two afrobeat/pop stars slay together and tear up this new single. The transition from Bayanni to Ruger, who comes in hard right after the hook, is incredibly seamless, a flow like never before. Phaemous: Kilofe
Amaechi Bartholomew Chukwuemeka (born June 17, 1998), known by his stage name ‘Phaemous’, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, Dancer, Recording & Performing Artist, from Ehime-Mbano, Imo State. The young artiste, currently holds a distribution deal with ‘EMPIRE’ and is signed to an indie label named; REMITANO ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED, a label that perfectly understands, captures and reflects his journey/music style as an artiste. On this sweet Afro-R&B single ‘Kilofe’, Phaemous floods us with the vocal prowess, style and energy of Chrisbrown alongside his own unique Nigerian touch and flavour of pidgin and rhythm. Jane Efagwu: Astronomical
Jane Efagwu is a Nigerian, Alternative singer and rapper releases her new single ‘Astronomical’. The young female artiste, splits the ground open with her hard lyrical bars and strong energy. Brymo: That 1
Alternative African Folklore singer (and genius) Brymo, releases his newest single ‘That 1. The veteran artiste in the Nigerian music industry is more than just a singer. He is also a Nigerian composer, songwriter and recording artist, who loves to experiment with different music styles, but prefers to call his music a genre fusion of Jazz, Afro-beat, Rock and African Folk. His new song, ‘That 1’, is characterized by its unique drum-line, thought-provoking lyrics and the rough and raw, rock music texture of Brymo’s vocals. Naeomi: Grown EP
Hot new Nigerian female artiste, ‘NAEOMI’, has recently dropped her debut EP, ‘Grown’, packed with beautiful Afro-pop and Afro-beats rhythms. Extremely proud of her Nigerian roots and culture, NAEOMI infuses her igbo culture and Language, alongside pidgin with English language, into her music.
