Hey there! Welcome back to Artistes of the week. Like always, we have an amazing selection of new songs from phenomenal artistes we loved this week. Let’s dive in!

 

DJ Neptune: ‘Greatness III’

Renowned, International and exclusive DJ, DJ Neptune has just dropped a fire new album project titled Greatness III. From Trap, to afrobeats, to amapiano and even Afro pop, Neptune drops a heavy dose of the greatness he’s made of gifting his listeners with an undoubtedly timeless package of bops and hits. DJ Neptune is a successful Disc Jockey and powerful brand to reckon with in the music entertainment scenery of Nigeria and West Africa. The professional DJ, spins different genres of music from; Dance-hall to Hip Hop, R&B House e.t.c. His  career began professionally in 2001, and his journey into the limelight began when he was hired by Nigeria’s First private radio station; Ray Power 100.5 FM Lagos, where he worked as an in-house DJ from 2004-2010. Later on he developed himself and moved on to performing at different concerts and events, in Nigeria as well as globally. His album features a sizeable number of great acts in the music industry such as; Ice prince, Joeboy, Qing Madi, Ajebo hustlers and many more. You do not want to miss out on, ‘Greatness III’

Wizard Chan: Time Traveler

Fuayefika Maxwell professionally known as ‘Wizard Chan’, is a Nigerian Afro-Teme and reggae singer, songwriter and music producer. He released his first official single titled ‘Halo Halo’ in 2020. However, he rose to stardom with his hit single ‘Earth Song’ and has continued to dominate the industry ever since, with his unique vocal dexterity and style of music. His genre of music is a rather unique approach to the concept of Afrobeats. Drawing directly from the beauty and culture of his traditional roots, the ‘Afro-teme’ is a lovely descent, derivative or fragment of Afrobeats/African music, that can be traced to the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. One thing about Chan, is that he will constantly put his nativity on the map. He once again reminds us that there is no limitations to his level of creativity and prowess, on his new single, ‘Time Traveller’as he rocks his listeners with a sweet, High life juju rhythm and his ever-pitching raw vocals. Alpha P & Kemuel: OMW

Benin’s sensational singer and songwriter, Alpha P, hits the music streets  with his promising new hit single, ‘OMW’, featuring fellow afrobeats singer; Kemuel. Alpha P considers himself a non-conformist, who uses his passion for music as a fuel to shake the music industry. With artistes like Lana Del Ray, Drake Khalid, Wande coal and Billie Eillish, setting the pace and foundation for him as sources of inspiration, Alpha P holds a wide palette of varieties in terms of music taste and style. Now, he naturally finds ease in dabbling in each and any genre he sets his mind to. Check out his new Afro-pop single; ‘OMW’.

 

Tolani: Crybaby

Tolani, Nigeria’s rising star, drops a new soulful, R&B trap single known as ‘Crybaby’. Tolani’s journey in music, began from singing in her Local church choir to developing a professional music career of her own. Ever since, she’s been making unique art of her own, creating Afro pop melodies and marrying them with incisive songwriting, to create a bubble of compellingly great music. Kida Kudz: Jumpin Bumpin

Olukayode Odesayna, known primarily by his stage name, Kida Kudz is a Nigerian born, UK-based artiste who does a confection of Afrobeats music, alongside British music influences; such as Drill or Trap music. Simultaneously creating his own music genre; Afro Jiggy from the influence of the two distinct music styles, Kida holds a long, wide stance in the music industry with a huge, keen following in both Europe and his homeland. The young and jiggy artiste, has collaborated with a number of Nigerian and British stars such as; Burn Boy, Ms Banks, Pa Salieu, to name but a few. Check out his latest release ‘Jumpin Bumpin’
