Hi there! Happy new month and welcome to the beautiful October. We hope October is brimming with life for you. Join us in kick-starting the week with some fantastic artists and their newest releases, from lovely featured singles to solo artworks, let’s dive in!

 

HighFamous: Ah Kileleyi

High Famous, is a compelling musician from Lagos, Nigeria who explores the diverse world of African music, particularly Afrobeat. The artiste is renowned for his contagious rhythms and lyrical melodies, alongside his skillful combination of Traditional African sounds with contemporary elements to provide a sonic experience that is simultaneously nostalgic and energizing. He draws his inspiration from the renowned Fela Kuti and infuses his songs with his distinctive style and energy. His new single, ‘Ah Kileleyi’, is a song on the good things and blessings with no reliance or dependence on any man. It is largely a song of gratitude and the artistes aims for his listeners to “Chill and relax, let the music take control”. Check out, ‘Ah Kileleyi’.

Ladipoe & Taves: Compose

The Afrobeats world has been experiencing an undeniable transformation, with the new artists taking over and causing a storm with their sweet, sweet music.  Ladipoe and Taves work on a fire new jam called ‘Compose’ and the two artists give a ‘pass the ball’ kind of vibe on the track. It starts with Ladipoe dishing his listeners some rhythmic bars while Taves continues just in tow with his sensational vocals. They each take turns to spin our heads and make us fall in love with the beautiful composition. Other than their seamless sync,another stunning angle of the music is its powerful bassline and addictive melody.The Genre-bending singer and songwriter, Taves has been a disruptive and amazing presence since his emergence and has only been up the ladder since being placed under BNXN’s wing. Ladipoe is not left from this disruptive and beautiful art creation. The Nigerian rapper and recording artist is often heralded for his lyricism, adept songwriting and unmatched flow as a rapper,  Check out their new single, ‘Compose’.

 

Majeeed: You

Ekeh Chiaka Joseph, also known as Majeeed, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. His music career kick-started when he signed a recording deal with “DREAM EMPIRE MUSIC”. Majeeed is an Afro-pop genius and ‘You’ is an adept testament to this. This music holds a beautiful melody, his unique vocals, and simple cutesy lyrics. Giving the song more intrigue, he expertly samples a bit of ‘Fall in Love’ by D’banj in its hook, thrusting us into Nostalgia and bringing us back with his modern sound. DJames & 1da Banton: Shako

London-based producer DJames (Pronounced Dee-James), features the lovely, fast-rising Afro-beats star 1da Banton, on his new track ‘Shako’. Djames built a global fan base through his mixtapes, production, and live shows. His unrivaled skill as a producer and music editor, allows him to craft his unique DJ sets with exclusive remixes, blends and transitions. While his sound is heavily rooted in African & Caribbean music, his ability to seamlessly infuse other styles and genres, caught the attention of many high-profile artistes. His style goes in perfect harmony with 1da Banton, whose music is a unique blend of Reggae, Dancehall, Afro-beats, and traditional sounds from Rivers, his home state. Their new single ‘Shako’ is a feel-good party anthem, the kind of music you can’t help but vibe to where magical melodies meet magical vocals. You don’t want to miss out on this!

 

Tweehz: Sapa loving

Tweehz drops new amapiano music sweetness called ‘Sapa loving’. Chukwudi, known professionally as Tweehz, is a singer-songwriter and producer from Eastern Nigeria, raised in Surulere and Egbeda but is currently based in New York. He is an Afro-beats artiste by definition, but with an eclectic ear for music, and he dabbles in other genres such as Hip-hop and Jazz. His song, ‘Sapa Loving’ is about the woes of loving someone who takes advantage of you, disrespecting and taking your love for granted due to financial limitations. Tweehz manages to spread a relatable, heartbroken message through good music, once again showing how emotion and music go so well together. Check out ‘Sapa Loving’ .

 

Le Mav: Are you there

His artistry has developed through his introduction to beautiful and diverse music like soul, funk, Hip-hop, and R&B at an early age.
