Hello there! Welcome once again to Artistes of the Week (June edition), where we have all the new releases from your favorite artists stacked up and fun new artists to fall in love with.

Bad Boy AV - Rage and risk

In the season of delicious two-pack EPs, Badboy AV comes in hard to serve the most delectable platter in his new "Rage/Risk. The first track, 'Rage' is the vibe that sets the mood for the morning. It is soft and feel-good music with lovely melodies blessing you from ear to ear. The second track, 'Risk' is fashioned in another style. With a slightly more upbeat tempo, the music gives a compelling need to groove and dance to its tune. BadBoy AV, also known as Adindu Victor or Babyboy AV, is a young and talented singer and songwriter from Africa. Coming from a renowned music and entertainment family; "The Adindu's", he was inspired to make music at a tender age by his father, who was a guitarist and singer. He gained global prominence from his debut single, "Big Thug Boys", which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Triller Chart and has continued to dazzle the music industry ever since. The two bundle tracks mark his return to the music scene and open his 2024 with a bang.

Wale Turner- MASSCARA

‍ Wale Turner drops a new rap single, 'Masscara' produced by Sesan Crespin Clement. He takes us away with his storytelling element on Masscara. Born in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria Wale Turner- real name Turner Omowaleola- grew up listening to some of the biggest artists like Olamide, Mo hits, Ayinde Barriste, King Sunny Ade, and this collage of artists shaped his journey as a musician. Like most, he started his career as a freestyle rapper, usually on several free beats, as early as age 16. As a diverse creative, he also raps in French and has worked with several producers in Nigeria. Touching on his lessons learned, his time of hard work in the studio, staying real to the hustle, and a toasted glass to the ones who've paved the way and have set the tone for fellow rap artists like himself, Wale Turner makes ‘Masscara’ an interesting adventure.

Laycon: Big Chief

Olamide Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleeshioba, popularly known to fans as “Laycon” is a young superstar rapper, singer, songwriter, and former BBN winner. Laycon is often heralded for his perfect integration of rap, afro beats, and pop. He is a versatile lyricist whose flair and artistry are found vividly in his depth and witty delivery of music. He has released several mainstream hits and fan favorites like "Fierce" "Hip-hop" "Verified" and many more. He also put out a soundtrack album from his reality TV show "I AM LAYCON". From the journey of rapping freestyles at his University; the University of Lagos, to the kick-starting of his professional music career and his success in Big Brother Nigeria which awarded him a larger and global audience, Laycon has continued to do exploits and great feats in the music industry. Soundz & Bad boy Timz: dis kain luv

Afropop artists, Soundz and Bad Boy Timz work on a new track together titled 'Dis kain luv'. Soundz, Samuel Oluwadarasimi Idowu is a Nigerian entertainer, Recording Artist, Songwriter, and Producer from Ijebu, Ogun State. Born on the 12^th of December, 2000, he began having an interest in music at a very early age and since the start of his career, he has continued to be an enigmatic artiste. BadBoy Timz, born Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin was born on August 13. The young artiste has taken the Afrobeats industry by storm, creating a lane for himself, amassing accolades, and dominating the charts. He gained widespread recognition for his hit track " MJ (Michael Jackson)”, following a brilliant remix with Mayorkun and Teni. The track is filled with equal parts vibes and vocals, about a love so sweet that you want to drown in. Check out, ‘Dis Kain Luv’

Xavvy: Friday Night

Calm, introverted, and yet so full of life, Xavvy is an artiste who crafts beautiful and enjoyable music that speaks to the soul. He was born on January 15, hailing from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria as the youngest in a family of four. His musical journey began in Warri, where he was raised, and has now taken him to Cape Town, where he currently resides. He has just released new cool music called, 'Friday Night’.

6uff is a multifaceted Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer with a fierce presence and a talent for motivating his fans through his real, unfiltered lyricism. His musical journey began at the age of 14, sparking a deep passion that led him to explore various aspects of musical creation and performance.
