Artistes of the week is here again and this June, we bring you everything spicy, everything juicy, and everything good. Like always we bring you; our music enthusiasts, and hot new releases from your favorite artistes and on the side we offer you new artistes worthy of note to fall in love with and get acquainted.

DEOLA ft Minz: Bad intentions

We begin this week with “Bad intentions”, an undeniably hot Afrobeats and R&B fusion hit single. Deola and Minz talk passion and tension on this new track.  From the lyrics to the energy, the song captures the feeling of the title, speaking on strong, loving and romantic desires. The track begins with their individual verses, followed by an harmonious blend of vocals at the chorus by both artistes. Terri- Show you/blessed:

Young afrobeats star Terri, releases a two pack EP called; Show You/Blessed. Terry Akewe, professionally known as Terri, is a singer, songwriter, performer and a force to be reckoned with. Born on the 27^th of May 1999 in Lagos, Nigeria, he is the oldest of four siblings and he hails from Edo State Nigeria. Terri discovered his passion for music in secondary school. After performing and recording as a member of a duo which one the 2013 City People Talent Hunt, Terri decided to take music on an official path. In December 2017, he got a call that changed his life and was the beginning to a great career. Wizkid had heard his cover of “Oshe” (Dj Jimmy Jatt ft Wizkid) and hit him up with the interest of signing him into his Label, Starboy Entertainment. In March 2018, he was officially signed. On the 27^th of May, 2024, he dropped the 2 pack EP; Show You/Blessed. The first track done by Terri alone, is a proper Afro-beats/pop melody, a total dance fest that is so easy to fall in love with and groove with. The second track features the bad boys; Bhad Boi OML, and Bad Boy Timz. The killer melody and soft paced rhythm is truly one for the books! Blessed is a song of the constant blessings of good, amidst the animosity of people who have written him off. Bhad boi OML and Bad Boy Timz each carry their verse so well, adding a unique taste to the sweet flow of the music. Check out this new project.

Dj Latitude, Timi Martinz, Shorae Moore- Falling

Dj Latitude teams up with Timi Martinz and Shorae Moore on a sweet new amapiano track “Falling”. From the soft drums to the saccharine vocals of both artistes, the song is an absolute auditory sensation. There’s a certain harmony between all three, a deep understanding of their styles that makes every part easily and beautifully executed, take your chances and check out Falling!

3nitan- Medicine

New afrobeats artiste 3nitan, drops a new single sweet titled; medicine. This song is an Afro fusion of Afro beats and R&B music, filled with a lovely melody and an undercurrent guitar flowing through the solo, alongside lovely ambient vocals in the background, coming altogether to make a killer track.

Aguero Banks- I’m sorry

Aguero banks, is a real life rapper and songwriter from Enugu, eastern part of Nigeria. He is known for using rap as a medium for self expression, narrating his real life personal experiences in the streets before he made it out. His music serves as a beacon of hope for others, a rumination as well as a motivation. He is seen as one of the new leading waves in Nigerian rap. Check out his new rap single “I’m sorry”.

Tiphe- Miliki/Signal

Abiodun Abraham, professionally known as Tiphe, is an Afro-sound musician from Agbowa, Ikorodu, Lagos state. He has recently dropped a 2 pack single featuring the two amazing dance anthems; ‘Miliki and Signa’.The first track Miliki is a fusion of traditional African music, displayed and infused with a fresh new sense of modernity, the old in the new and the new in the old. A barrage of talking drums and fuji style come into a cosmic interaction with Afrobeats, providing a compelling order to its listeners to enjoy, dance or in  other words, to ju, to jo and to  miliki. ‘Signal’ comes in with the same vibe, a hot a fro-pop fusion track and it is beyond clear that Tiphe has an artiste, appreciates his cultural roots as it finds a way into his translation and expression of his music, making it easy to meet an audience of the older and younger generation.
