Artistes of The Week:
Hi there! Welcome back to ‘Artistes of the Week’. Once again, Artistes of the Week is that article that features the newest releases from the 5 Artists that have captured our attention each week. This Week, we have:
Dagizah: This breed
Born and raised in Abeokuta Dagizah, just north of Lagos, the singer spent his formative years on an entirely different path from music, as he learned the technicalities of Football. But after losing his parents and falling out with his coach, a random visit with a friend at the end of secondary school changed the trajectory of his life and led him to music. Fresh from high school, the singer started recording music professionally in 2016, starting with a couple of covers that garnered the attention of promoters and music maestros in Abeokuta.
Dagizah is that artiste who gives an unfiltered perspective on the joys and euphoria of modern indigenous-tinged music. His new album is a proper Afro-Hadurah style mixed with Afrobeats and Afro-pop. It is a lovely album for Afrobeat enthusiasts to jam while working, chilling, cleaning the yard, and hanging out with the clan. Check out ‘This Breed’ and feel that rhythmic flow of Afrobeat's goodness.

The artiste has now become a consistent, promising force and is undoubtedly here to stay, with his newest single LAST WEEK, another irresistible and vocally golden sound, paced with a nostalgic flow pattern that’s easy to follow. In the track, he takes the familiar nursery rhyme ‘Monday we go to school’ and mixes it with his own creative and endearing play on words. Check out ‘LAST WEEK’ by Ayo Maff!
