Hello there and welcome to Artistes of the week. With June closing its final curtains and saying its last goodbyes, we open July with a Bang! Bringing you sweet features and hot new releases. Let's dive in!

Milar: Sweet Rhythm

Today, we kick off the day with the young new artiste Milar and his new sweet rhythm. Milar entices us with his lazy drawl on the catchy chorus and a sweet tempo that follows so deeply the vibe of the vocals and the feel of the music, Leaving us truly singing along. Milar is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter and producer who has received numerous accolades for his work with his sister and popstar, Ayra Starr as well as many other acts from the Mavin camp. In 2022, he was recognized by them and was announced to be one of the songwriters for the team. In 2023, he decided to make a name for himself. Tasting just like the feeling of ecstasy, Sweet rhythm is a song you do not want to miss out on!

 

Nathan Walid: Shut it Down

Completely euphoric and dreamy, Nathan Walid releases a lovely new Pop and Afro-fusion track, ‘Shut it down’,  infusing elements of that rave Hyper-pop and EDM creatively with the afrobeat sound. He manages to make the music both soft and energetic, much so that it makes you enter your 'main character' era, hands in the air, hyped and feeling completely alive. The artiste Nathan Walid, who also goes by the real name, Uchenna ‘Nathan Walid’ Chike, is a Nigerian alternative pop and electronic music artist originally from Abia state but based in Abia state. He began making music at the tender age of 12, by age 14 he released his debut single as a recording artiste and has continued the beautiful path of sounds from alternative creativity.

 

Vinny EVA: Makosa

Vinny EVA, also known as King Enyojo Vincent Agbo, is a fast-rising artiste from Benue State Ogbadigbo LGA, born and raised in Navy Town, Ojo. As an artist, he likes to explore various sounds and creates music about heartbreak, sadness, and his story before meeting Christ, who has now transformed his heart since then. His new transcendent Afro-fusion track, Mkosa is filled with elements that float around from ear to ear, Vinny’s high-pitched vocals and creative adlibs give you this feeling of being swayed in different directions. DJ Bellami x Kidd Carder: Grace and Money

DJ Bellami and Kidd Carder tea up to work together on a promising new Afro beats-amapiano hit track; Grace and Money. DJ Bellami also known as “International Trending DJ” and “The Sound Oracle”, is a titan of turntables and a maestro of music mix-ology. With his fingers dancing across the decks, he crafts wonderful soundscapes that transcend the ordinary, enveloping his audience in a euphoria of sound. Kidd Carder, on the other hand, is a prodigy in the music world popularly known as “More Than a Kidd”. Hailing from Nigeria, the 18-year old award-winning musician has already made a significant impact in the industry with his brilliant collaborations and unique sound. More than performing, he is also rather good at songwriting, penning lyrics that resonate with audiences worldwide. Check out their new collaborative single, ‘Grace and Money’.

 

Kxng Nero: DND

Kxng Nero, born Emavwoyan Ubokor Oghenero, emerged from the vibrant musical landscape of Benin City, Nigeria. Growing up in Benin, he was immersed in a rich cultural milieu where music wasn’t just a form of entertainment but a way of life. As the rhythms of Afrobeat, highlife, and traditional Nigerian music reverberated through the streets, it influenced his musical sensibilities from a young age.Check out his newly released Afro-pop single, ‘DND’.

 

Ne4z: Yolo

Formerly known professionally as NiyiPuppi, Owolabi Niyi took a long break from the music scene in order to find a music style that was  authentic to him. This led to his recreation of self as an artiste as well as his name to NE4Z. The new name is a combination of his first name, Niyi, and his nickname, Steezy. While still trying to battle his life as a final-year law student, NE4Z manages to pour his emotions into music, using it as a medium of expression. Check out his new single, ‘Yolo’
