Artistes of the Week is back, bigger and better this week! Once again, we’ve done the work and brought to you fresh out of the oven, hot new releases this week. Featuring artistes like Lareez, Josze, and many more. Let’s meet them, shall we?

Lareez: Freebies 2.0

In the year 2011, the musical duo Lareez; which consists of artists Adewale Isiaka Sanni and Edward Seyi Larunsi, was brought to life, due to a high school competition that ultimately led the two stars to turn their something serious, into something even more serious, turning the mutual love for music into a professional career path and has Stuck to each other ever since. They released their debut track TOUCHED, in 2011, alongside two follow-ups, BAMIJO and ROLL 4 ME in 2012. In 2015, the Nigerian singers came second in the White Xmas competition hosted by Jemima Events and MTV Base, with the release of their song LIFE, which amassed thousands of streams. The duo has recently released a 2 pack Afro pop EP, titled Freebies 2.0

Josze: Omo Ekun

Abisoye David Joseph, professionally known as Josze or Joszay is an Afro-Fusion musician and songwriter. Blessing us with the sweet soft sounds of a trumpet in his new release “Omo Ekun”, he reflects on his cultural background, with the word “OMO EKUN” which is derived from the term “OMO OLOYEMEKUN” and he consciously talks about his origin, life struggles, glorifying and representing where he’s from.

Afro-fusion artiste, Frnchfriessss mixes in a blend of Afrobeats and soul on his new track “I no fit kill myself”.
