Artistes of the week:

Miracle Philip: “This is how we war”

Miracle Ifeanyi Philip, also known as Miracle MAD, is quite the miraculous artiste. Hailing from Umozu, Imo state, but born in the south-south region of Portharcourt, Miracle Ifeanyi Philip, is an enigmatic recording artiste, Music minister, songwriter and Philanthropist! He graduated from the prestigious, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in the year 2015. Right from his time in the children’s choir of his local church, the dynamic creative showed so much musical prowess, that he became the teens musical director at the age of 9. At the age of 10, the  musical prodigy kick-started a professional career, joining a live Band to play the drums and sing as a background vocalist. From then on he joined several bands and rose to the role of a lead singer at the age of 15. At age 17, Miracle sensed a calling from God to dedicate his career in music to Gospel music. In his musical journey, Miracle has shared the stage with various prominent gospel artistes, like Freke Umoh, Chioma Jesus, Eben, Moses Bliss and many others.

His new release, “This is how we war”, is his first publicly released original single. It is  a song about Christian Faith and a confession of the victory of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a power-filled track aimed to bless, inspire and motivate people to step into the redeeming power and strength in Christ.

Roboko ft Little Zino: Tension:

Ngene Daniel, known by the artiste name Roboko is a young and fast-rising Nigerian musician, born and raised in the city of Lagos. The artiste, a first child in a family of four, found a deliberate passion for music at the age of 13 and followed the path. His latest track “Tension”, is a story of love, heartbreak, depression and coming out on top through it all. Roboko aims to bring awareness to the value of mental health, encouraging people that suicide is never an option. Make sure to check out Roboko’s heartfelt confessional music, Tension.

Shols- dark light drive EP

On Dark light drive, we experience a musical ride of gentleness and ease. Beautiful producer and artiste, Seyi ‘Shols’, began making music at the age of 13, with his friend group in secondary school, known as the Bonafide Crew. He started ot as one of the rappers in the squad and overtime became the in-house producer for the  crew. Despite pulling fans from the Naija UK scene, Shols was still going through his a slow but pivotal artiste development. In this process, he perfected his piano playing, learned sound engineering amongst other things. In 2019, He dropped his first solo project, Afrotherapy, featuring Buju, JouleaDaKid Reblah and many others. Since then he has continued to bless us with his truly therapeutic music. On this ep, Shols, gives us a kind of palm-wine vibe, exuding a no stress and soft life energy all throughout his music.

The Afro futuristic Genre bender, Samuel Ede Ogaba, popularly known as OG MAGE, is an artist whose journey transcends genres and defies expectations. He is a visionary and a relentless force on a mission to unite hearts and  minds through music. After years in Lagos, in  the year 2021, he embarked on a pivotal move to Abuja, which changed the trajectory of his musical career. Check out his latest track; featuring Ziaa title; Fsther Lord

Metu Pascal Chibuike,  was exposed to variety of  musical from quite an early age through his father and elder brother. Hailing from Anambra, and raised in Portharcourt, the artiste is popularly known as Kutee Lee, a name which originated from his love and similarities in music style, with the legendary Fela Kuti. He began making music professionally in the year 2019, right after making a pivotal decision to switch from his medical practice to a career in music. Though it wasn’t easy, the artiste stuck through thick and thin, fueled by his deep love for music. He expresses Himself, firmly as an Emo Hip hop artiste but never limits himself, as he spreads his wings into various genres. Check out his latest song, Dope boy.
