A big, warm hello and happy new year to you, our ultrasonic readers. Today, we officially bring you, the first “Artistes of the week” edition in the year 2024! Yes yes, you can roll out the applause and keep them rolling.
Today we bless your palatable tastes with the latest releases from the coolest artistes. On this list week’s have: Fiokee, Lyta and many more.
FIOKEE: IF YOU DON’T MIND
Glistering guitarist, Fiokee has recently released his new hot single; “If you don’t mind.”. The track comes in with a perfect tempo of exploratory rhythm and vibration. Fiokee, per usual, takes us away with his beautiful guitar solo, coming in to form a perfect melody with the vocalist on the track. The Akwa ibom indigent guitarist is widely known for these incredible guitar solos, often infused with a highlife flow. He has associated with a variety of high profile acts ranging from Tiwa savage, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Reekado Banks, Adekunle Gold, Flavour and many more. Check out the talented Fiokee!
LYTA: I GO DEY
Babatunde Rahim, professionally known as Lyta, is a young Nigerian singer known for his beautiful, piercing boyish vocals and his unique blend of Afro pop and Fuji. The expressive singer has his unique way of singing with a kind of gut-wrenching vulnerability on nearly every track, particularly with love songs. Following his exit from YBNL in May, 2019 due to a disagreement about promotions, Lyta signed with Marlian records in 2020. The artiste, has featured with a number of acts like Davido, Seyi Vibez, Zinoleesky and much more. On his latest track, “I go dey”, he features fellow Afro pop artiste Mono Payne.
GOOD GIRL LA: LETHAL SYMPHONY
Nigerian-born Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and Producer, Euphemia Ekumah (popularly known as GoodGirl LA) began her music career in 2015 and gained a wide recognition for her collaboration with Vector on “Early Momo”. She was also nominated for The Headies award, om the same track for best collaboration and best rap single. Her notable song “Bando” was inspired by the End-SARS protests of the Nigerian youths. Following her release of Lethal, she has since then released “Lethal Symphony”.
KASHCOMING: HOW MANY
Kashcoming, popularly known as Drip Papa is a fast rising Nigerian Afro-pop singer, who found his voice through music and decided to pursue a musical career journey early in his life. His goal, as a musician, has always been to inspire other young singers and be a vessel of hope through his music. He has since had a successful career with a release of 7 albums. His most streamed album “Saloo” has amassed a total of 36.2 thousand streams. He has also had major collabs with Zlatan and Buju. Check out his New track “How Many”.
Dreez MaliQ & BhadBoi oml: WAY UP
Idris Sulaiman popularly known as Dreez MaliQ, is an Afro pop artist with a fuji twist and a dedicated songwriter. His personality is reflected in his lyrics and unique style of music. Set to storm the music industry with his sounds and new wave of afrobeat, He has recently released Way Up, a plea and prayer song, in gratitude to his maker, for the simple blessings, featuring fello afro-pop artiste BhadBoi oml.
